About Me
My design background starts with a degree in fashion design from The University of Cincinnati. The College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning houses the School of Design, including Fashion Design. The program ranks in the top 50 fashion design schools in the United States. The focus is on design and development with a cooperative education component where students work full-time in the fashion industry on alternating semesters.
From the Midwest to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, I've been extremely fortunate with a creative career in the fashion industry. My experience includes separate category design, as well as, collection development. Price points ranging from moderate to better sportswear. Experienced in developing garments in woven fabrications, as well as, cut & sew knits.
I bring to the design team passion and brand devotion with positive results for the end user. It's just in my DNA to work hard and consider my customer almost like a family member. I want the designs to look beautiful and our customer to be well-dressed. At the same time, they should be comfortable, so that's how I work through fit comments...does the fabric feel good? Is the trim the best quality? Is the lining correct or what can we do to make her feel her best! When I develop color stories or chose patterns, I want to review our history, shop the trends - blend newness with best sellers so we can create a stronger loyalty and build a better relationship with our customer.
At the end of the day, the company should be proud and customer is happy.
